Frequently Asked Questions

If a child needs to take medication while at Kids Club, Kids Club staff will need authorization paperwork from the child’s medical provider and a parent or a guardian's signature. All medications must be with the prescription label attached and can not be expired. Over-the-counter medications must have a medical provider's order and the child's first and last name written on the box. Kids Club cannot accept open over-the-counter medication. The child’s first and last name must be on the medication/bottle (including inhalers and EpiPens) or we are unable to accept or administer the medication. Please see your child’s site manager if medication is needed. Permission for Kids Club staff to administer medication. Please also provide your child’s medical provider forms.

Kids Club follows the same guidelines as the school district. Students need to stay home when sick. Families should report illnesses so that Kids Club can post the illness so other families can be aware of what is spreading around. There will be no reduction in tuition due to illness absences. 

• If your child is not going to attend after school, please email or call your child’s Kids Club site directly by 3 pm, so we are not looking for your child. 
   
• A $15 finders fee will apply to your account when staff are not notified in advance, and need to leave the group to confirm your child's whereabouts and safety.

If your child is going to arrive late in the summer on a Non-School Day, please contact your child's Kids Club site directly. Be sure to check the field trip calendar/newsletter or Non School Day email previously sent to ensure your child has what he or she needs for the day and that they don’t miss a bus. All staff attend field trips, leaving no one on-site.

If your child is going to be absent due to illness or vacation, or they are going to be late for the day, please contact your child’s Kids Club site directly via email, phone, or by writing a note in the parent communication notebook located on the parent cart. Please note that these notes are not confidential. It is the responsibility of the parent, not the school, to notify Kids Club when their child is going to be absent from Kids Club. During the school year, Kids Club must be notified by 3:00 pm of a child's absence.

Families will be charged a late fee of $10 per 5 minutes or portion of if picked up late. Kids Club will call families and emergency contacts beginning at 6:10 pm and will contact the police at 6:30 pm if the child has not been picked up or if staff need to leave.  

We do not have parent volunteers on field trips or on site. Because all volunteers would need to undergo a fingerprint background study and some additional trainings (this is because we are a certified center governed by the Department of Children, Youth and Families, DCYF).

• If school is closed:  Pre-K and Elementary Kids Club are closed.
• If school closes after the school day starts: Kids Club will not reopen after school. Preschool students need to be picked up at the end of their day, by 4:00 or at the time indicated.
• If school is starting two hours late due to weather conditions, Pre-K and Elementary Kids Club will open at 8:30 am. 
• If school is closed after Kids Club is open, all students need to be picked up immediately or within two hour.

If a child registers for Summer School or a class through Community Education being held in the same building as their assigned site, Kids Club staff will assist them with transitioning to and from their class. It is the responsibility of the legal guardians to inform the Kids Club site when they have registered their child. A permission form will need to be signed. Please note that in the event of planned, off-site activities, Kids Club staff will not remain onsite. Families may need to make alternative plans. 

Kids Club cannot escort kids to Community Education classes unless the class is in the same building. 

Kids Club invoices are emailed sometime around the 11th of each month and are due on the 1st of the month.

For example, September fees are billed around August 11 and will be due by September 1. Families will find their monthly invoices online using their Eleyo account. June school year days will be added to the May invoice. 

School Year 2025-2026:  Accounts not paid by the 1st of the month will be assessed a $20 late fee on the 2nd, and suspension of care will occur on the 10th for unpaid accounts.

*NEW* School Year 2026-2027: 
Accounts not paid by the 1st of the month will be assessed a $25 late fee on the 2nd.
Suspension of care will occur on the 7th for unpaid accounts.

Families will be emailed a monthly invoice to the account owner(s)' email address associated with their child’s contract. Kids Club does not print and/or mail monthly invoices. Monthly invoices may be viewed and printed individually by logging into family Eleyo accounts. Kids Club offers several ways to make monthly payments:

• Sign up for automatic monthly Auto Pay; electronic payments automatically draft full payment due directly from the checking or credit card account of the family's preference; transactions are electronically deducted by Kids Club on the 1st of each month. 
• Pay over the phone with a credit card by calling the Kids Club’s Administrative Assistant at 763-792-6193.
• Pay online by logging into Arux. 
• Payments may be mailed (or brought in person) to Kids Club’s/Community Education's Administrative Office, 4707 North Road, Circle Pines, MN 55014.  Due by 4pm on the due date (or business day prior - if the 1st falls on the weekend)

Paying after hours? Please use the Community Education after hours drop box located outside the Community Education office by door S14 just east of the District Office.  

Payment cannot be accepted onsite. 

School Year Options for 2025-26 

Full-Time Care: Care provided every school day, both before and after school. Families must register to attend Kids Club.  Non-refundable Registration Fees and Tuition Deposits apply to all approved contracts.  Those enrolled may also also register for the Non-School Days that Kids Club is open; see rates below. 

Monday- Friday: $25.50/day

Part-Time Regular Care: Care provided at least 2 consistent days from week to week. Drop in care will be an option for this contract if space allows. Families can also register for the Non-School Days that Kids Club is open; see rates below.

Summer Options for 2026

Families pick the days they want their child to attend over the summer, approved as space allows.  Non-refundable Registration Fees and Tuition Deposits apply to all approved contracts.  Minimum requirement is 15 days.  Daily Rates determined based on number of days selected at time Contracts Lock: May 1.

• 37+ days: $49/day
• 24-36 days: $53/day
• 15-23 days: $59/day

Additional care is available as space allows at a rate of $70/day.

Families may request a drop in day to supplement their child’s existing schedule by requesting a Drop-In using their Eleyo account (preferred method), or by calling the site ahead of time. A 24-hour notice is requested. Acceptance of Drop-In care is not guaranteed, but based on space availability. Drop-in rates apply. 

To request Drop-In care, log into your Arux account (https://isd12.arux.app/). Now click on Explore All Programs, and from the new drop-down menu, click either Kids Club or Pre-K Kids Club and then click Account Management. Now click on the child's current contract. Now click  Register for Drop-in Days. When the calendar appears, choose the drop-in day(s) and sides of the day you need. Now select Finish. A message will then display, “We will be reviewing your drop-in day requests shortly. We will send an email confirmation after your drop-in day requests have been approved.” A 24-hour advanced notice is built-in when requesting care online using your Arux account.

Non Refundable Registration Fee:  $40 or $55 per child, depending on the enrollment window used while submitting your registration. (Timestamped for reference.)  See dates on School Year and Summer Registration pages for details.

* NEW * Non- Refundable Tuition Deposit : $100 per child. Applied to the first season's invoice, and used until depleted.

In an effort to process all requests efficiently for families: electronic payment method is now required at time of contract submission. 
 

Registration Processing

• Requests for care submitted online enter "Pending" status. 
• Approval is based on space, eligibility (below), and minimum schedule requirements per season.  
• Non-refundable fees and deposits apply to approved contracts only– as sites do fill, and wait lists may occur.

A randomized lottery will take place if Kids Club does not have enough space for those who have registered in any registration window. Families who do not have the opportunity to attend Kids Club due to the lottery system will be placed in lottery order on a waitlist and will be contacted if space becomes available. 

Kids Club offers dependable care year round, across 2 separate seasons: School Year and Summer. 

School Days: available at all 5 elementary schools  |  6:30am-school start / dismissal - 6pm
Summer and Non-School Days: available at condensed sites  |  6:30am - 6pm

• Registration required for each child, each season. 
• Requests for care submitted online begin as Pending.
• Approval based on space, eligibility, and minimum schedule requirements. 
• Non-refundable fees and deposits apply to approved contracts only– as sites do fill, and wait lists may occur.   

Contracts end at the conclusion of each season.

A lottery will take place if Kids Club does not have enough enrollment spots for all those who have registered in any specific registration window.  In that event, contracts are randomized and places as space allows.

Families who do not have the opportunity to attend Kids Club due to the lottery system will be placed on a waitlist and will be contacted if space becomes available.

Registration for each summer begins mid-February. Registration for child care for the upcoming school year begins in late March/ early April. We encourage families to register early.  Specific dates will be listed on each season's page. 

Please log into your Arux account. At the top of the screen, click on your name and select the drop-down triangle and click on your account/relationships. Then update any information that has changed. If this information is not up-to-date, Kids Club staff will not be able to get in contact with you. Kids Club staff are scheduled to work consistent hours, based on contracted schedules at each site.  Therefore, families are invoiced monthly, based on the schedule they enroll their children to attend.

• Kids Club does not offer any credits and/or discounts for vacations or absences days which occur on school days. 
• Families are not charged on scheduled holidays (See when Kids Club is closed).   
• Registration for Non-School Days during the academic year is optional, for an additional fee.  If you register, but cancel prior to the enrollment deadline, you will not be charged.

Families are responsible for all fees prior to Kids Club receiving the County paperwork and during all lapses in care coverage. Families are responsible for any overages not covered by the county or any additional fees due to, but not limited to additional t-shirt orders or late fees.

Families are welcome to make care changes within the following terms and conditions, as listed at time of contract submission, as well as found in our Family Handbook.

Remit contract changes via Eleyo or by email (kidsclub@isd12.org). Voicemails, verbal instructions to staff or telephone conversations are not acceptable means of notification. Be advised that lack of attendance is not acceptable notice, and tuition will continue to be assessed until proper notification is received.  

PreK and K-5 Kids Club - School Year Contracts: 

Cannot be changed or canceled between August 1 and October 1 or May 1 - end of school year. 

• SCHEDULE CHANGES: must be in place for a minimum of two (2) consecutive weeks.
   
• REQUESTS: Approved as space allows.
   
• SUBMIT: A written, two (2) week advance notice describing the request to cancel or change contracted schedule.
   
• FEES: 
  • School Year changes - prior to June 1: $0 
  • School Year changes - after June 1: $25 fee applied to each contract impacted
  • School Year cancellations after October 1: $0 fee to cancel. 2 week notice applies. 

REMINDER: Account Owners are responsible for all charges incurred within the required two-week notice date.

 

Summer C.A.M.P. contracts:

Account owners must remove care dates from their contract(s) by the end of Summer Registration Window 3: 11:59pm on April 30. 2026.

The following change fees apply to APPROVED summer contracts, received March 9 or after.

• BILLING: Effective May 1, contracts are locked and billed based on the summer care days you selected in your online registration.
   
• ADDING CARE: Requests for additional care days submitted between May 1 - May 17 will be billed at your regular contracted daily rate. May 18 and after: Drop-In care requests may be submitted via Eleyo at $70/day.
   
• CANCELING CARE AFTER APRIL 30: the Kids Club Account Owner(s) will be financially responsible to pay the minimum C.A.M.P. contract of 15 days —regardless of attendance.  After June 1, a two-week notice is also required. Kids Club Account Owners are responsible for all charges incurred within the two-week notice date.
   

Kids Club reserves the right to terminate care for the following:

1. Non-payment and/or lack of adherence to payment policies. 

2. Lack of cooperation from parents to resolve differences or meet a child’s particular needs.

Kids Club-where we build, we tinker, we paint, we work together, and we create friendships in Centennial Community Education’s choice-based school age childcare program.

During the school year, we operate out of the school cafeteria and students are able to choose what they want to participate in whether it be going to the gym or outside, participating in a craft or other activity, or playing a game. 

During summer, children are organized by grade level into groups where they spend the majority of their day in play and activities. Each classroom environment features various age-appropriate centers that allow for individual choices. These centers include games, manipulatives, arts and crafts, reading center, and creative play area. The children spend a portion of each day enjoying a variety of outdoor recreational experiences. Play clothes and tennis shoes are recommended for outdoor activities. Field trips and swimming are planned.

Kids Club takes the safety of our students very seriously. The Centennial Community Education Department worked hard to find a way to secure our elementary building doors for each Kids Club site location. Each elementary building has been outfitted with a keypad by the Kids Club entrance that will provide admittance to our buildings. Before the start of the program, families will be notified via email their building’s confidential keypad code. To gain access, Kids Club parents and/or authorized pickups must use the keypad code. This code should not be shared with non-Kids Club families. We also do not want our students to know or enter the code. This code should be kept as confidential as possible. For the safety of our children, please do not share this code with anyone other than authorized pickups in your family. Codes are sent to account owners and they must share it with all authorized pickup/drop-offs, including the other parent. 

The first day of Kids Club is the first day of school for your child. Students in grades 1 through 5 start the day after Labor Day while those in grades preschool and kindergarten start the following day, typically a Wednesday. Kids Club's last day of care is the last day of school. There is a 4-day weekday break between the school year and summer and 6 days between summer and the school year. 

During the school year, Kids Club will email out a monthly newsletter with information parents need to know. Kids Club also has a parent information board that is located near the sign-in/sign-out area. Please check this area daily for reminders or last-minute changes. During the summer, a weekly newsletter will be emailed out that will include general information for everyone enrolled onsite and field trip information. Each group utilizes Seesaw, an online teacher communication platform, to keep parents informed additionally. 

On some days when school is not in session, Kids Club offers optional care at select school locations (6:30am-6pm). On these Non-School Days, children have extra time for hobbies and friends in a safe, supportive environment. Each Non-School Day features themed on-site activities that give students the opportunity to be creative, think critically, develop self-direction and experience a sense of belonging. On some Non-School Days, outings/field trips are planned. Please note that on these days, unless otherwise indicated, children should bring a bag lunch and beverage (nothing requiring refrigeration). A breakfast and afternoon snack will be provided by Kids Club.

Enrollment in non-school days is optional and available to currently enrolled Kids Club families on a first come, first served basis. Click here to view Kids Club’s Non-School Days and Closures for the 2025-26 school year.

Non-School Days are billed at a rate of $49 per day when enrolled by the registration deadline for that particular NSD. After that date if enrollment space is still available, the rate increases to $70 per day. Refunds will not be issued for cancelations requested after the NSD registration deadline.

Kids Club allows time for children to do homework after school and staff will help them to the best of their ability. Please be sure to double-check their work at home. Kids Club offers a variety of activities, some of them academic. However, Kids Club does not tutor students. 

Kids Club requires all children in our care to be signed in and out on an electronic iPad. Only those people designated authorized pick-ups will be allowed to pick up a child and should be added to your family’s Eleyo account. Those dropping off/picking up should make at least eye contact with staff when dropping off/picking up. Those picking up should ALWAYS be prepared to show their ID; there may be new staff or a substitute worker.

During the school year, Kids Club provides an afternoon snack each day. The school offers breakfast through Nutrition Services each day through the lunch/breakfast option (children will use their bar code to purchase). 

During the summer, and on Non-School days, a morning breakfast snack and afternoon snack will be provided. Families will need to bring a bag lunch from home that does not require refrigeration, be sure to include a drink. 

All staff attend scheduled field trips. Children in attendance are required to attend field trips. Therefore, if you need care on a scheduled field trip day, please plan for your child to attend the field trip. If you do not want your child to attend the field trip, plan to pick up your child before the anticipated return time, or your child won't arrive before the scheduled bus departure time, you will need to make alternative arrangements.

The Summer C.A.M.P. Field Trip calendar will be available online May 1, 2026. 

Staff DO NOT remain on site during field trips, therefore, we allow families to remove contracted care on a field trip date within "exception" window: May 1- 5. [See: FAQ: Summer Schedule Change for details]

During Summer Kids Club C.A.M.P. we post a preview of field trips online (subject to change). Each site will post a calendar for the month. Summer groups will email a weekly newsletter that will include field trip bus times. Field trip signs will be posted near the parent cart.

During the summer, each child is given a field trip t-shirt the first week. Children are required to wear these shirts on field trip days. Failure to wear your field trip shirt; means staff will provide one for your child to wear and a $10 fee will be charged to your Eleyo account. Extra field trip shirts may be purchased for an additional cost. On field trips, children are broken down into small groups by grades with familiar staff. Children are often given a buddy as well. Staff are instructed to count the children often. Ratios are 1:15 but on field trips these ratios are reduced based on the trip. A theater trip will have a ratio of 1:10, while a zoo field trip would have a ratio of about 1:6.  

On Non-School Days during the school year, children are broken down into small groups and when possible are assigned to familiar staff. Staff do a great job of getting to know the kids in their group, and count often.

When swimming, on our summer registration, families indicate their child's swim level: Beginner: No deeper than waist deep; Intermediate: Some water slides, stays closer to armpit depth; or Advance: Strong swimmer, can go anywhere. Kids Club staff have the right to downgrade a child to a lower level. Kids Club requires all children to wear a sun protection Kids Club shirt on all water field trips (inside or outside). These shirts will not be sent home with children, but will be laundered by Kids Club staff after each use. Staff are assigned to zones and spread out both in the water and out to supervise kids. If your child destroys a swim shirt, the family will be required to pay to replace the shirt. If you have a concern, please talk with your child’s lead staff.

Deadline to remove care dates from a childcare contract:  11:59pm on April 30, 2026  

Deadline to request to ADD dates at the contract's assigned daily rate: 11:59pm on May 17.

May 18 and after, "Drop In" request policies and rates apply for additional days.

Why? Our program emphasizes reliable care schedules for families, as well as relationship-building among our participants and staff.  To achieve this, we provide consistent work schedules which help retain our amazing Kids Club staff! 

The number of children registered per day, as of of May 1, are used to determine many aspects of our program - such as supplies, field trips, tshirts, and staff summer schedules.  Those total numbers may also require us to deny care for other families, as space is limited at each site. 

Therefore: there are no credits, refunds, or substitutions for selected care dates after the deadline.

*EXCEPTION* Field Trip Days 

Deadline to remove field trip date(s) from your childcare contract:  12:00pm (noon) on May 5

The Summer C.A.M.P. Field Trip calendar will be available online May 1, 2026.  Staff DO NOT remain on site during field trips, therefore, we allow families to REMOVE care on a field trip day within this "exception" window. 

Note: 15 day minimum summer contract must still be met. 

If your child is enrolled in another program, activity, going on vacation (etc) resulting in a schedule conflict with field trips, OR you do not want them to attend a specific field trip (ex: water park) - you must notify us in writing at: kidsclub@isd12.org by the deadline.  After this date, bus schedules and entrance fees are finalized.

No.  All staff attend scheduled field trips.  

Children in attendance are required to attend field trips. Therefore, if you need care on a scheduled field trip day, please plan for your child to attend the field trip.

If you do not want your child to attend the field trip, plan to pick up your child before the anticipated return time, or your child won't arrive before the scheduled bus departure time, you will need to make alternative arrangements.

Students and staff will be bused (Centennial will walk) to Centennial High School for an hour of "free play" swimming. Students should bring a swimsuit, towel, and plastic bag. All students will need to pass a swim test in order to use the Wibit inflatable obstacle course area or go into the diving area. Parents can send a US Coastal approved life jacket for their child to wear. Pool belts are also available. 

Families are responsible to apply sunscreen on their children each morning. Each family should send a bottle of sunscreen (labeled with their child's first and last name) for reapplication at noon. Children in grades K-2: Staff will assist or apply sunscreen as long as the family has supplied a bottle. Children in grades 3-6 will be reminded to apply sunscreen and will receive assistance as needed. When your child’s sunscreen is nearly empty, staff will inform parents. Please do not apply spray sunscreen to your child inside the school building. 

If families want their child to wear bug spray, they need to supply it (labeled with their child's first and last name). If needed, staff will assist in applying it. Please talk to your child’s site manager.

Why does Kids Club Summer C.A.M.P. enrollment start earlier than the Activity Guide opens? 

There are many factors which allow Kids Club to begin registration to currently enrolled (and even new) families ahead of the department's menu of other summer options - including, but not limited to:

• Kids Club provides care for many of our families, and retain many of our wonderful staff, year-round! 
   
• We predominately serve families who rely on consistent, full-day summer childcare for work and/or other reasons.  Many of our families need confirmed, reliable summer care earlier than later - especially if/when they do not have much flexibility in their work schedules. 
   
• Our childcare summer sites have high demand, and do not need to wait for K-12+ sports scheduling across athletic fields, etc (such as youth summer sports).  However, as many families also have interest in these summer opportunities we extend our program's deadline to cancel contracted care dates to late April. 

We invite families to enroll in the earliest Registration Window they are eligible for, or, to wait until Registration Window 3: March 23- April 30.  However, as our sites can, and do, fill — we encourage all families to enroll as early as possible. 

Non-Refundable Registration Fees and Non-Refundable Tuition Deposits apply to approved-only contracts. 

Approved families have until April 30th to remove care dates from their contracts.  C.A.M.P. contracts lock May 1.
