Stadium

The Stadium and Turf Fields are available for reservation through Community Education according to our fee schedule. Qualifying renters must provide a certificate of insurance prior to use of the facility naming District 12 as an additional insured. Insurance must amount to $1 million of an individual and $2 million aggregate coverage. Scoreboard, concession stand and press box are available for an additional rental fee with prior approval. 

Please note: Any/all Centennial High School events and activities will have first priority for scheduling of Stadium or Turf Field. (This could result in an override/bumping of a booked event on occasion). 

District-assigned supervisor will be on hand for all rentals and outside use

Access to the stadium and field does not guarantee access to stadium indoor restrooms. 

District 12 is not responsible for lost or stolen articles

Rental fees begin being charged when the space is unlocked for the event; end will all participants have left the field and the space is re-locked

An extra fee for custodial clean-up after the event may be assessed. The cost will be added to the rental fee

Only activities appropriate for the space that do not damage the artificial turf or track will be permitted

No food on track or field. Water only; No Gatorade-type drinks

Spectators must remain in the bleacher area

Youth must be supervised and stay off sports equipment and fences

No bicycles/rollerblade/skateboards/golf permitted

No gum, sunflower seeds, or shelled peanuts on track or field

No pets inside the Stadium or Turf Fields

Proper supervision by the renter of the player's spectators must be maintained.  An adult group leader from the user organization must be present from the time of entry stated on the permit until all participants have left the premises. Users must maintain control of the behavior and location of participants involved in the activity and ensure they remain in the area authorized

Appropriate shoes must be worn on all surfaces

Do not bat balls into backstops or fences

Centennial School District 12 grounds and buildings are TOBACCO FREE. The use of alcoholic beverages or illegal chemical substances in any form is also prohibited

Concessions

The concession stand is available but the renter is responsible for obtaining all needed food permits through Anoka County. In accordance with the Minnesota Food Code adopted by Anoka County, the District prohibits service or sale of food items on District grounds that are not commercially prepared in a licensed facility or are pre-packaged in individual (single) servings. • The per-team charge for tournaments is $60 per non-Centennial School District No. 12 team
• A reservation change fee of $35 may be charged when groups alter their original reservation
• A $35 late fee may be assessed when payment is not received by the due date
• In addition to the rates above, a special access fee may be charged for groups using facilities on weekends, holidays, non-school day evenings and summer activities
• Minimum usage: A two (2) hour minimum reservation may be required, especially on weekends
• Use of press box/score board and concession stand is available by special request for an additional $100 each per event
• Renter must obtain all needed food permits through Anoka County
• Outdoor space rental fees vary by event 
• Fees for facility use are subject to change without notice 

Outdoor Fields

Outdoor facilities are available for reservation. Use is permitted based on past history. Groups will be responsible for any damages to school property which may occur.

Parking is allowed in designated areas only. Driving of autos and other vehicles is restricted to roadways. The driving or parking of autos or other vehicles on lawns, athletic fields or other grass-surfaced or landscaped areas is prohibited. District owned vehicles used in the performance of maintenance or repair are exceptions. 

 

Playgrounds are available for public use during non-school hours without a permit. 

 

Field Maintenance

1.  Do not install permanent base anchors, home plates or pitching rubbers on any fields without the Grounds Department approval. 

2.  Irrigation and mowing will be completed as part of a larger field maintenance schedule for the entire district. Mowing is done weekly at each site. 

3.  Field grooming and striping will be done by groups at their own expense, except on the high school campus. See Field Grooming/Chalking. 

4. Priority Groups 2B/C & 3 will be charged a $10 per participant, per activity, per session or day fee. 

 

Use of Fields 

As a courtesy to other groups using the fields:

When the game is finished, teams need to rake around the bases and home plate area. If not done, a divot develops over time and becomes a problem "low" spot. 

Raking the mounds is a MUST. District 12 does not have tarps to keep the mounds dry. If the mound is not raked, divots and low spots hold water, making it a maintenance problem for the next game. 

When raking base paths, ALWAYS rake with the path-not across it. Raking across the path pushes material into the grass area and a lip develops. 

If the field is too wet to play, please stay off and reschedule games/practice. 

On baseball fields, if throwing batting practice from in front of the mound, please use a mat as this area gets worn down and becomes bare dirt if precautions are not taken. 

Do not use drag mats on fields. When dragging fields, transported drags MUST not drag over any grass area. Too many times people that use drag mats do not pick them up after dragging the field and then pull the infield rock into the grass, creating a maintenance issue. 

Do not bat balls into backstops or fences.

Field Grooming/Chalking

Groups using the fields at the high school campus for summer softball/baseball will be assessed a fee for grooming and chalking of fields. Weekend field grooming is not available. 

 

Field Painting/Lining

Groups using District 12 fields and require lines be painted will be charged a set-up, paint and staff fee. 

Portable bathrooms

As a condition of use of District 12 fields, all groups are required to have a portable toilet. Units will be provided by request from the Community Education Facility Department. A fee will be assessed at the end of each season. 

 

Trash

Service fees will be assessed for trash removal if costs are incurred by District 12.
